Testing!!!

The next few weeks at school are jam packed with standardised testing.  This testing helps form judgements on where your child fits alongside the National Standards.  It is really important that your child is getting plenty of sleep and eating a good breakfast before coming to school.

So far we have completed the STAR test (Supplementary Test of Achievement in Reading) which tests word meaning, sentence understanding, paragraph comprehension and vocabulary.  I was really pleased with most of the results.

We have also completed the Asttle reading comprehension test.  Some children showed huge improvement in this test from the beginning of the year.

This week your child will complete a writing exemplar which we will compare to the exemplar they did at the beginning of the year.

Next week we will be completing the PAT Maths test.
