Maths
This week we are working on addition and subtraction strategies. This means learning ways to solve addition and subtraction problems if we don't know the answer. We will be using strategies such as; counting on (in ones and tens), joining sets, using place value, using compatible numbers, splitting large numbers into small chunks.
Reading
We are continuing our AVAILLL reading programme. This weeks movie is a documentary called "The Earth - Power of the Planet".
Writing
This week we are proofreading a report of our choice in order to publish it. We will be revising and editing our reports. This means we will revise our reports to check it makes sense, and to see where we can make it better. We will be proofreading our work for spelling, punctuation and grammar.
Topic
We are finishing our slideshows for our inquiry.
